Personalizing a Course? (add videos, exercises, assignments, etc.)
Editing within Courseware
While in the Learning Path you can edit, add, and delete content and you can also move content around. To get started, make sure you are on the Learning Path and click on the Edit icon on the top-right side of the viewing area.
Once you are in edit mode, you will see the Learning Path (A) and the content view area (B) where you can now edit.
You also see three additional areas. You will have the ability to reorder the Learning Path (1), add content (2) and an area of Instructor Resources (3). Instructor resources are available to you with each module. They are hidden from students, but are provided to you in both edit and view modes.
Each Instructor Resource includes three documents pertaining to that module, which can all be downloaded. The files include all the questions that are provided in the chapter level quiz, all the questions that are provided in the self-test quizzes within each section, and a PowerPoint presentation for the chapter. Some courses have the PowerPoint in a separate Instructor Resource page, so you can release it to students if you would like for them to have a copy.
DELETING AND HIDING / SHOWING CONTENT
To delete content, make sure you are in edit mode and then you will see a ‘burger’ menu to the right of the edit area. Rollover the menu and you will see delete or remove, depending on what you are trying to delete. Click on delete/remove and the content will be removed from your Learning Path. It WILL NOT be deleted from the class. It will reside in the Repository, which we will talk about later in this document. You can add it back at any time.
To hide or show an item, you will click on the ‘Visible’ icon and you will be able to ‘Hide From Students’. Once you do this, it will still be in the Learning Path, but it will show ‘Hidden’ at the top.
ADDING CONTENT
Clicking on the plus sign allows you to add both resources and assessments to your path. You will click on the appropriate plus sign depending on where you want the content to go. As shown above, if you want the content to go within the module area, but not within a section, you use the plus sign that is associate with the module. Once you click on the plus sign, you will be able to add or create new content.
